Leah Miller is the Chief Financial Officer and Firm Administrator at Parvey & Cavenago Attorneys, and has been a valued member of the firm since 2012. Growing up in Cape Coral, Florida, she was homeschooled for most of her education, but graduated from Mariner High School. Leah went on to obtain her Associates degree in Paralegal Studies from Florida SouthWestern State College in December 2011. Though she loved being a paralegal, it did not take long for Leah to realize that she wanted to play a bigger role in the firm. She returned to FSW for her bachelor’s degree in Supervision and Management, graduating in May 2016. In December 2019, Leah graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a Master of Business Administration.
During her first three years at the firm, Leah was the senior litigation paralegal handling all parts of the litigation practice for the firm. Today she handles all financial and personnel tasks within the firm. Although Leah is behind the scenes helping the office run day-to-day, her passion for the litigation process is a driving force. She continues to work with members of the firm on cases from beginning to end with an emphasis on litigation and trial preparation. With a penchant for learning, she continues the annual education required as a Florida Registered Paralegal with the Florida Bar. She still loves getting to work with clients during a difficult time in their lives and says, “My number one goal is doing whatever needs to be done to help our clients and make sure the firm runs smoothly”.
When she is not at work, Leah loves spending time with her husband, three daughters, and their three dogs. She is an avid runner and prefers to be outside as much as possible. She also enjoys reading and listening to podcasts with no specific genre in mind.
Andrea Cantres was born and raised in Fort Myers, Florida. She began her career as a legal assistant at Parvey & Cavenago Attorneys, P.A. in 2016. Her first 6 months at Parvey & Cavenago she worked part time as a legal secretary. Her positive attitude and diligence in her work was recognized by the firm and she was asked to take on the role of Pre-Suit Legal Assistant which made her a full time team member. As a pre-suit legal assistant Andrea’s first responsibility is the initial set up of the client’s file. She will then be the direct point of contact for the client, providers and legal personnel related to the case until the client is finished with stage one of the legal process. During this time Andrea’s mission is to gather any documents that is needed for the case including records, investigation reports, and confidential information from the client. In order to complete her tasks and ensure the client’s file is ready for the litigation process, she drafts correspondences daily while keeping a close eye on the status of the client. Andrea is also bilingual which helps accommodate our non-English speaking clients.
Her main motivation in life is to teach her 3 boys that you can accomplish anything by working hard and loving what you do every day is possible. “I am so grateful to be a part of the Parvey & Cavenago family, I truly love working in close contact with our clients. It brings me joy to know the firm I work for serves justice when justice is needed.”
When the work day is finished you can find Andrea soaking up all the family time, helping her mother decorate for parties through her rental business and enjoying free time with her closest girlfriends.
Brittany Panicaro, legal secretary, handles file management, scheduling with new and current clients, along with other receptionist and office support services. Brittany also manages all of the marketing for our firm. She has been with Parvey & Cavenago Attorneys, P.A. since 2018 and loves being a part of such a dynamic law firm that has a family like atmosphere. Prior to landing her first position in a law firm, Brittany attended Florida SouthWestern State College just outside her hometown of Cape Coral, graduating in 2016 with her Associates of Arts degree and her Associates in Science in Paralegal studies. Brittany speaks on her position at Parvey & Cavenago Attorneys by saying, “These past years at Parvey & Cavenago Attorneys has been such a great learning experience. I can’t wait to continue extending my knowledge in personal Injury and Wrongful Death with the best team in the area.”
Brittany is a hard worker who finds great joy in helping others. She understands that many people are contacting Parvey & Cavenago Attorneys at difficult times in their lives and she does her part in being a helping hand by always putting the client’s needs first.
Outside of her work life, Brittany enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys, going to the beach, working out and reading books on her free time.
Stephanie Rufo became a part of the Parvey & Cavenago Attorney’s team in 2018 at the entry level position. Her skills in the legal process developed quickly and she assumed the position of Litigation Legal Assistant. Stephanie’s attention to detail and effective time management abilities allows her to provide litigation support to both the client and the attorney while the case is progressing through the second stage of the legal process. To ensure litigation is done in a smooth manner, Stephanie drafts pleadings, complaints and motions that are to be filed with the court, schedules important depositions and conferences pertaining to the case, and communicates with insurance adjusters and opposing counsel. Her additional obligations are to calendar hearings, meet important deadlines and to manage the logistics on each case. She also assists each client during the discovery period by ensuring they understand what is being asked to them. In the past, Stephanie has performed administrative and clerical duties which has given her a pronounced platform to complete the requirements of litigation.
Stephanie speaks on her position at Parvey & Cavenago Attorneys saying, “Being in a legal profession has always interested me, especially litigation. I am delighted to be in this position and my main goal is to help the attorneys obtain the best results possible for each client.”
Although Stephanie was born and raised in the SWFL area, shortly after graduating high school she decided to explore other locations. Eventually she came back to the area she knew and loved settling down around her close friends and family. Most of Stephanie’s free time is spent by enjoying outdoor activities such as skating and canoeing. She also values spending time with her nieces and nephews and is very present in their lives. Her other hobbies included reading and perfecting her culinary techniques.
